Welcome to Transformed and Scaled.
I’ve set up this blog so that I can better monitor myself and track my progress towards my fitness goals. For a while now, I’ve been doing Twitter and Facebook status updates of my workouts to let people know what I’ve been doing, and to keep a sort of record for myself. However, 140 characters is a pretty small amount, and I’ve had to compress and abbreviate almost to the point where I can’t tell what it all means. I figure the blog will allow me to go into more detail about my workouts, the exercises I do, the food I eat, and my progress.
The name Transformed and Scaled is a bit of a play on words. It’s about my desire to transform my body into a more fit version of itself, scaling down my weight and body fat; it’s also a reference to my career in visual effects (transforming is moving objects around, changing their position, rotation, etc., and scaling is changing an object’s size). To that end, I’ll also do the occasional post about the VFX industry, as that’s what I do for a living. Some of this will be tips I’ve picked up, or the names of feature films I’m working on (sorry, there won’t be any real behind the scenes info on them; non-disclosure agreements are a bad thing to break).
I hope you enjoy the journey with me
