About Transformed and Scaled

Welcome to Transformed and Scaled.

I’ve set up this blog so that I can better monitor myself and track my progress towards my fitness goals. For a while now, I’ve been doing Twitter and Facebook status updates of my workouts to let people know what I’ve been doing, and to keep a sort of record for myself. However, 140 characters is a pretty small amount, and I’ve had to compress and abbreviate almost to the point where I can’t tell what it all means. I figure the blog will allow me to go into more detail about my workouts, the exercises I do, the food I eat, and my progress.

The name Transformed and Scaled is a bit of a play on words. It’s about my desire to transform my body into a more fit version of itself, scaling down my weight and body fat; it’s also a reference to my career in visual effects (transforming is moving objects around, changing their position, rotation, etc., and scaling is changing an object’s size). To that end, I’ll also do the occasional post about the VFX industry, as that’s what I do for a living. Some of this will be tips I’ve picked up, or the names of feature films I’m working on (sorry, there won’t be any real behind the scenes info on them; non-disclosure agreements are a bad thing to break).

I hope you enjoy the journey with me

Hey Greg! Welcome to blog-dom! You have a neat little idea here, I like it! I am getting kinda psyched about working out myself just by reading what your doing!! Maybe I should try and follow along.. My back has been killing me from sitting all day… Good luck and I hope the site helps you reach your goal!

Thanks! No, that's just a default pic that came with the theme. Haven't got around to making my own pic yet. And WordPress is pretty nice. My web host control panel had a thing for automatically installing it, and it has all sorts of plugins and widgets and custom themes for it(free). So far so good!
