I just don’t know what to make of the body composition scale at the gym anymore. This week it shows my body water as up nearly 3 lbs, with my total weight dropping 0.4 lbs to 173.0. Hard to reconcile those numbers, and that’s annoying. It’s basically becoming a glorified weigh scale at this point, since the rest of the numbers seem meaningless.
But hey, it’s still weight loss, so something to be happy about, right?
My workout today was a bit all over the place. I had to reduce my pace shortly into my run because it felt like my lungs just couldn’t keep up. I still managed to finish, but it felt crappy. Can’t even blame cycling today since I had to drive into work.
During my circuit, I had kind of mixed results. I managed an extra rep on my shoulder press, but my biceps curls remained the same as last time and my chest press actually dropped two reps. And then there’s the triceps extensions and the abdominal crunches, which both seemed easy enough that I’m going to add weight next time. All over the place, I tell ya…
Fingers crossed that I get a workout in tomorrow. Friday’s have been a bit sketchy lately with work cutting into lunchtime.
