Fit Report – May 2nd, 2016 – Fit Fix (chest/arms/core)

I wasn’t sure how today’s workout was going to go. Leading up to it, I wasn’t at all imagelooking forward to working out.  I was tired from a rough night with a sick toddler (a few rough nights, to be honest, so my wife and I are both pretty beat) and the last thing I wanted to do was be active. Some things must be done, however, so here we are.

It went fairly well, all in all, even if some exercises did t go as well as I’d hoped. My run was pretty good; the usual pace for the usual amount of time. I suppose I should try upping the speed one more time, see how it goes. After that I can try adjusting the incline. As for Fit Fix, I tried doing things slightly different than last time. I broke the routine up into four exercise chunks, and did two sets of the first four, then two sets of the second. Unfortunately I didn’t pay attention to the order I did the first four in, and instead of doing chest/shoulders/chest/shoulders, I went chest/chest/shoulders/shoulders, so not quite the proper break in between I was going for.

The strange thing is that I had trouble with the first exercise, the pectoral fly, which imageusually doesn’t give me trouble. I couldn’t complete the second set (and to be honest, that 9 in the second set was actually 6 and 3). And then I managed two full sets of 12 of the chest press, which I couldn’t do last time. So odd, and I’m not sure how to explain it. Oh well, what can you do?

Legs and back again tomorrow. Gonna have to try and fit a core or cardio day in there somewhere, too.
